I watched two incredible movies ranked 96% on Rotten Tomatoes lately:'71 - a must watch if you enjoyed the WW1 movie 1917, with a similar premise of a single British soldier stranded in Belfast during the Troubles riots and has to find his way back home. It taught me a lot about the Troubles, too - turns out it all stems from 1609 when England defeated local Gaelic leaders and imported Protestants into the exact counties that now unsurprisingly voted to comprise Northern Ireland. Riders of Justice (Danish: Retfærdighedens Ryttere) - From a famous Danish director who I'm now keen to watch more of, do yourself a favor and don't watch the bland spoilery trailer for this Mads Mikkelsen led action comedy and go in without knowing anything other than it's a military husband's quest for justice against a biker gang.Laughs, thrills, perfect comedic timing, and a thoughtful Scandinavian ennui underlying the whole thing - the best foreign movie I've seen since Parasite.
