I gave a talk on growth marketing at my buddy Joshua Fechter's meetup series. Even though I didn't prepare anything and just answered pre-vetted questions from him in casual conversation. I was blown away by how much prestige that simple act got me - since then I've had 5 different people reach out to 'pick my brain over coffee', and half of them were already my friends! Usually I'm on the other end of that request....stand at a podium and the audience will come, I suppose.I also went rafting down the Russian River with a few dozen friends in inflatable toys. Lots of fun, lots of sun, not much movement.
