Weekly Review #157 - Touchy Feely leadership, Tyranny of Structurelessness, and GRRM's Disneyland
This was a busy social week for me with a meetup every night: first a Gotta Be Good talk, then a fancy private Influencers Dinner, and finally a leadership workshop from the facilitators behind Stanford GSB's popular Touchy Feely class.
All were definitely worth my time for the connections made, but I'm not sure there's much useful information I can offer readers here other than awareness these things exist.

Steal these Daily Habits of Self-Employed Entrepreneurs — medium.com
My most successful Medium article yet, thanks in no small part to Startup Grind, the 2nd largest publication on the site. Everything I learned writing my book!
Book in a Box (give them 5k and 6 interview hours, they write your book for you) is hiring an apprentice. That job description is so taut!

THE TYRANNY of STRUCTURELESSNESS
A well-written long read from the women's rights movement in the 70s that points out that there's not such thing as a structureless organization. Without formal structure, informal structure arises. Therefore, do no abolish formal structure (ahem - anarchists), merely seek to make it better than the informal structure that would replace it.

Hardstyle is definitely an acquired musical taste (cheesy lyrics over deafening nonstop bass), but its flagship festival Defqon 1 has the most impressive audio-synched pyrotechnics I've ever seen in my life!

Christopher Stoll does realistic anatomy drawings of Pokemon. Interesting explanations for how they get their powers!
