Weekly Review 140 - Murder Mysteries, Delayed VR, and Sex at Work
I spent a few hours in VR this week, and I have to say, I wasn't that impressed. The graphics are great and your body is definitely fooled, but the lack of haptics combined with more experiences than games made it just feel like a really good IMAX screen. The games that made use of your body were the best, however - it was with them I could see the real promise of the medium.
The TLDR of it is: VR will be awesome, but it isn't yet. Apparently once the big studios get involved things will get better- for now it's just indie developers making passion projects.
I also partook in a murder mystery charade dinner with some friends, which was quite fun! It's tricky to juggle your real relationships next to the fake ones, as it turns out. And there's lots of themed packs to buy so you don't have to come up with it yourself!

He doesn't make a compelling argument for reparation or break down how it'd work - he just tells you how much we've screwed black people. Which is still an important read! But actual reparations is a whole nother thing...
