#457 - Date Me docs, the Political Compass, and Against Looting
I finally visited the SF Commons, a third space crowdfunded by techies, and the space is gorgeous! Was a bit too crowded and hectic for my liking to get work done there, compared to a coworking space, but a great place for socializing. They have guest days every Friday - come by!
The new Thor Love and Thunder movie was nowhere near as good as Taika's last Thor film Ragnarok, sadly. Classic case of sequel-itis trying to repeat what worked and having it be stale. It wasn't bad....just 'meh'.

The Pinnacle of Looting Apologia — www.theatlantic.com
I got an angry response back when I condemned looting in the wake of George Floyd, which is probably the same view the author of In Defense of Looting holds.
This piece tears apart that view, and book, so satisfyingly that I don't need to engage in that argument anymore. Looting is not an effective form of redistribution.
