#455 - Coliving case study, the argument for having children, and Animorph war crimes
I finally wrote a case study about the coliving house I started in Hawaii in 2020, on the Supernuclear blog. Check it out here.
Always welcoming hard earned coliving wisdom from others.
I also went through all the Queen backlash links from last week and found this take by HasanAbi to be the most comprehensive and helpful.
TLDR - she was a billionaire that did shady billionaire things, and did NOT exercise the limited yet real power she had in the government.
Now I just have to figure out how to find content like that without triggering the trolls in my search. Who would have thought a Twitch streamer would have the best take on the British monarchy?!

This product lets others demo your product live, without giving someone access to the actual product. Clever - usually the real point of a demo is to get them to take a call, though. :P

Nadia Asparouhova | Cultivating agency
Nadia critiques the antinatalist argument rife in certain techie progressive circles, claiming that having children increases suffering in the Earth and for them.
I applaud her take, which I share, which boils down to - if we believe we have agency to help the future's challenges (which we do), we and the kids can be heroes, instead of poor subjects.

Animorphs 101: You Have NO IDEA What You Slept On — www.youtube.com
I can't believe I listening to all 4 hours of this group of young neckbeards walking through the narrative of the 90s teen scifi series Animorphs, and chuckling all along at how truly heavy the themes therein were.
Applegate didn't shy away from the horror of war, and revisiting that content as an adult make me marvel at how little it landed for me at that age. Kudos for making fun YA reading that influences adult perspectives!
